My Project

Second grade is all about falling in love with reading.

I like to spend part of my day where kids can look through my library and then pick books that interest them.

They then get time to silent read.

As the year has moved on, I have learned the kind of books my kids love to read and would love to add more of these to my library.

I work at a title 1 school, so most of the kids in my school do not have as many books at home. Having a library in the classroom that the kids can pick books they enjoy really brings them joy. It also helps them with their literacy / reading skills as they get more opportunities to practice .
