Our school has been affected by the Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. We are the Resource Teacher and Title 1 Teacher from our school. On the morning of November 8, we were evacuated from our school and our town and are now displaced from both. Much of our school was damaged by the fire, and even the classrooms that remain standing are still closed.
Our school is asking for sets of leveled books to replace the ones we have lost in the Campfire.
This will help our students maintain their academic progress as much as possible during this difficult time.
My Project
Because of the Campfire, we have been left with no instructional materials or books. We need these books so that our students will continue to learn and read. They have been through so much already we don't want them to fall behind academically. We are the intervention teachers at a K-5 elementary school where many of our students come from low income families.
These books will replace the ones that were lost during the Campfire that destroyed our town.
Leveled reading books allow us to provide individualized instruction for the students that we work with and continue the instruction that we were doing before the fire. Please help us with this project!
