My Project

We are big readers in my classroom. We begin every class period with 15 minutes of choice reading. Students are able to read any book in the classroom. My hope is to spark a love of reading that helps each student become a lifelong reader.

The books on my shelves have to be special so that students feel that spark when they make their selection.

Each of the books on my list has been recommended by someone whose opinion I value. Help me give my students access to the books that just might make them fall in love with reading.

Mrs. Van Kirk will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 3.
