Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These materials are going to help build literacy in my classroom and contribute to my diverse library experience for the kids. I have also chosen books that are in Spanish because I have many students who immigrate every year from a Latin American country. I have also chosen books of high interest that will be appealing to all students like Captain Underpants.

Students will use these books during their visit to the classroom library while we have centers.

Each group of students visits the library between 15-20 minutes a few times a week for independent reading time. Students love reading their books and enjoy having a variety of options to pick.
