it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our school has never been able to participate in our district's Battle of the Books trivia competition because of many reasons. Funding is one of the barriers to be able to have enough copies of the selected 10 titles for our students to be able to have them to read and compete.
Also, because we are a Dual Language school, it is difficult because the chosen books are only available in English due to the fact that they are newly published titles.
We have some volunteers who will be coming to do book clubs with our students to help them with the comprehension of these English titles and we will also be buying audio recordings of the books. We are hoping to make this district program more equitable for our Title-1, Dual Language schools.
