My Project

First grade is a magical year! We have the joy of teaching kids to read, write and solve problems while also still holding space every day for play. Our first graders have been working really hard learning new phonics skills and practicing reading each day in school.

Our class needs engaging high-interest books to fill their book pouches so they can continue this work at home.

These books need to be at the "just right" level for our kids and also a book they WANT to read. The key to getting kids hooked on reading is to help them find a book or a series that sparks that love of reading and provides the right amount of challenge.
