Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing young people. Many in them come from single parent households. Some of my students live in apartments with most then just their immediate family members. While still others are in foster care. Most families are struggling to make ends meet. My students work hard everyday. They want access to food books that they can keep.

My students enjoy reading but don't have their own libraries at home.

They would love to have their own collection. My students works get to chose books from these collections of books and take them home. These books from the different book collections requested would be their reading for the summer.
