Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a fourth grade reading and writing teacher, it is important for me to provide the necessary materials and instruction for my students to be successful in the classroom. My fourth graders come from very different families and backgrounds in one of the largest school districts in the state of Texas.

We are a school in a district that is economically disadvantaged with a very diverse group of students who enjoy coming to school every day.

Please consider helping me help my students reach their full potential this year.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy, and they are always looking for the next book to read. With 70+ children passing through my classroom each day, I want to be able to give my students a variety of options so they can choose a book that interests them.

All these novels were selected with my students in mind.

The resources will also benefit students working in small group as the text will be on their independent level so that reading comprehension skills can be reinforced when we meet.
