Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are first grade students that are eager to learn! They are curious, energetic and thrive on hands-on learning. They are a very diverse class all with individual needs. They are hard workers who deserve the necessities to be successful. I have a variety of learners with and without disabilities. My students need visual supports as well as sensory tools in order to be successful in an inclusion setting.

My classroom is a place where all students can learn no matter what.

I plan with students' strengths and weaknesses in mind so that I am meeting their maximum learning potential. My students come from all over the city of Boston and have a wide range of backgrounds. It is my job to give them the education that they deserve and to develop lifelong habits for learning.

My Project

These guided reading books with help my students master reading across first grade and beyond! These books will enhance print rich text in our classroom. I love to fill my classroom with books at students can read. Having literature that students can access will provide students with opportunities as well as let the students read independently at their own level. Students will be able to choose books which can read independently.

My students need the tools and supports in order to be successful.

Having a classroom full of guided reading books will give my students the opportunity to thrive and be independent readers. Having a diverse, inclusion classroom these students deserve the best supports. Books are a essential part of learning and with these books they will guide educational development.
