Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom consists of twenty-three energetic, enthusiastic children who have a passion for learning and putting their knowledge to use. My classroom also includes students that are English Learners and receive Learning Support. They really enjoy working together in small groups as well as with partners. My students love hands on activities, projects, and anything messy.

My students are also very avid readers and always have a book in their hand.

They enjoy coming to school daily and always put their best foot forward! They work hard in everything they do and are always respectful of one another.

My Project

My students need book bins and book dividers so we can organize our classroom library. These book bins will add color to our classroom library. Currently, my library consists of hundreds of books that are organized only by genre. I would also like for my students to select books based on reading levels, favorite author, and favorite series. By separating books in this way, it will ensure that students are able to find books that they can read independently.

By students being able to chose books by interest and reading level, they are able to enhance their love and joy of reading.

An organized classroom will improve reading for all students. My school population consists of many English Learners that readily need access to books at a variety of levels. Thank you for your support.
