Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are amazing 3rd, 4th and 5th graders at varied intellectual, social and emotional levels. Some of my students are learning to read while some are learning to label pictures. Each student has unique abilities and strengths, fostered and nurtured in our classroom.
Within my classroom, my students are explicitly taught skills with the goal of generalizing their skills to a more inclusive setting.
We are part of a larger community of students with unique needs, all included within our school family. Acceptance, tolerance, being respectful, responsible and kind are celebrated each day.
My Project
These books will reach all my students. Each one offers engaging and fun themes throughout the year. Common with all my students is their strength as visual learners. The books I have selected will maintain my students' interest while allowing me to differentiate and scaffold lessons, meeting each individual student's unique targeted learning need.
With these books, each week my students will be developing individual skills such as sorting, sequencing, labeling, predicting, imitation, reading and recall all while having fun!
My students all have unique abilities. With these books, my goal is to individually reach their potential in a fun, creative and engaging way. Thank you for your consideration for my project.
