My Project

This project will reach over 200 students in a Title I school and help develop their love of reading! I teach 3rd grade and have started "Book Battles" at my school so all the 3-6 grade students have an opportunity to go to the District Book Battles. My own children have benefited from participating in the Book Battle program in the past, yet the school I teach at did not have this program going... so I started it! The biggest obstacle is having multiple copies of each book because they are a hot commodity at the library.

This project will give a set of the books that are selected for the 2025-26 school year Book Battle to each of our eight 3rd-6th grade classrooms.

In addition, these titles are reused every 3 years for the Book Battles, so they will have many years of use and love.
