My Project

Third grade is such an amazing year. It is the foundation of upper elementary, and is full of so many firsts. One of the most exciting and motivating firsts is being able to participate in The Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) for the first time.

OBOB is a fun competition, in which teams of students read a list of selected books and answer questions about them as a team.

It is fun and motivating for the students to read all 16 books. I want to make it as equitable as possible for all my students to participate in this event by having the books available in the classroom.

Book bags will help them keep their books nearby so they can read whenever they have a chance, and the display easels will make it easier for them to find these books in the class library.
