This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and are full of thoughtful questions. This year, we are in a blended learning situation. My classroom is located in the Bronx, NY and has students from a variety of backgrounds with so many different learning styles.

This year more than ever, I want to build a classroom with a strong sense of community where everyone supports each other.

We are all experiencing blended learning for the first time, and I want my students to have the supplies they need whether they are learning at home or in my classroom.

My Project

My students love learning together. We need resources to give them the flexibility to work independently in small groups. With the included audio, my students will be exposed to books slightly above their reading level without feeling challenged or defeated.

These book sets will allow students to work in small groups and feel independent while still being successful.

They will be able to listen to a book as a group and then have the freedom to discuss what they have read.

With these book and audio sets, students will learn to have their own discussions without guidance from their teacher.
