Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Spanish levels 1-2 as well as an advisory class. This advisory class is a 9th grade class which will be in my advisory for all four years of high school. During advisory, I give them time to do homework or other school-related activities as well as to read. Advisory is the class where they also take many of the required district tests. My goal is to get them interested in reading fun books so their reading and comprehension can improve. These books are popular books that any teen would enjoy and I'm sure they will be interested on reading them. I am also asking for books in Spanish for my Spanish classes that they can also use when they do their research on different influential people.
