My Students

Do you remember how excited you were when you learned how to read? My children love to read. They love it even more when they can go shopping for books in our classroom library and put the books in their book bags for quiet reading.

My children are eager First Graders who love to read books.

They love to search for new books to read in our classroom library. They are always excited when they have read all the books in their book bags and can shop for new ones. My children attend a Title 1 school.

My Project

My children have a classroom library where they have a variety of books to choose from. The problem is that our room is not very big and we have many baskets with books in them. A bookcase with labels for each level of books would make it easier for my children to search for books that are at their level. A bookcase would also make it easier for the children to put the books away that they have already read. My children would benefit by having a bookcase where they would have easy access to books.

We have a small classroom and it would be great to have all of our classroom books in one area.

The children could easily find the books that are at their level and put their books back where they belong. Selecting books and returning books would not be frustrating. The books would be easily displayed. Our school does not have the money to purchase a bookcase for our classroom. As much as I would like to purchase one myself, I can not afford to do so.
