My Students

Do you remember reading in elementary school? My students have already read all the books in our class. We need to add to our current library with books of various interest and reading levels.

We are a class of 7th and 8th grade special needs students in an inner city school district.

The class has been together for the past three years and have read all of our current books. We would like to be able to read something of interest and on our level. This is difficult for us to do right now since we have already read all our books.

My Project

Due to our tough economic times, our funding has also been majorly cut. Our students require a multi level reading library so that they may continue to grow academically. Currently we only have a few books and since we have been together for a few years now, all the books have been read over and over again. Your donation will put 40 new books, such as Nutcracker Ballet, Baseball Ballerina, and Hungry, Hungry Sharks into the hands of struggling readers. They will also be able to be used from year to years and will reach many more students.

We are looking to donors like you for your support in helping our students continue to succeed.

This is a skill that will not only help them now but they will continue to use throughout their lives. It is through donors like you that our children will succeed!
