My Students

Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.

I am dedicated to my students.

It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.

Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.

My Project

Dr. Seuss changed children's literature. For this project I am asking for several Dr. Seuss books to complete my classroom collection. Every year schools across America celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday by reading his books, learning about his life, and doing various activities to honor him and his books. During this week I try to expose my students to as many of his books as possible.

When my students read Dr. Seuss books, I see more smiles and hear more laughter than ever before during reading time.

They literally get lost in the magic of his books. His books are fun and inviting and inspire my students to be creative. With his collection being so large, there is literally something for everybody!
