My Project

Each year I like to add books to my classroom, but after 12 years teaching many of my books have seen better days. It is time for a classroom library refresh with new titles and new copies of some of our most loved books.

Daily my students are bringing me books with pages falling out.

We taped, glued and stapled them back together as best as we can. My students this year absolutely love to read. They request time to sit and read and are hungry for more books. They are especially interested in reading books about science and social studies concepts we are learning, such as Laura Ingalls Wilder and the American Revolution. There is a waitlist for these books in my class and to hear students discussing the books they've read is amazing.
