My Students

There are so many things I love about teaching first grade. My students are enthusiastic about learning, thoughtful to one another and their hearts are often filled with joy. The magic of first grade is realizing that you have become... a reader!

My Project

Although this past year has been quite challenging, I have had a glimpse into my students' daily lives and I have seen the love, patience and support that many parents, grandparents and guardians have provide to them. The one thing that I noticed and was quite surprised about is that SO many of my students had a limited number of books at their disposal. First graders are meant to hold books in their hands, turn the pages and have the stories come to life right before their eyes. With YOUR help you will give me the necessary resources to give my students a variety of books to read, cherish and explore!
