My Students

My students are fourth graders. They all live in an urban area. Additionally, they are motivated and eager learners that love to read. Because I teach in a bilingual program, half my students come from Francophone families, and the other half comes from Anglophone families. They cooperate and support each other in learning how to read, write, and express themselves in two languages. By the end of elementary school, they will all be bilingual and bi-literate in French and in English.

My Project

My 4th Grade students need new supplies and other materials to help them have a successful school year! The books, bookcase, and beanbags will help create a robust classroom library where students will be excited to read. The books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction that I am confident the students will enjoy this year. The supplies and materials will allow us to create student reading and writing toolkits to be used every day.

These books and supplies will be used every day to aid us in the process of becoming lifelong learners and scholars.
