4th Graders are funny, creative, and eager to learn. 4th Graders are also very rough on school supplies! They try their best, but #2 pencils and headphones can only survive a group of 9 and 10 year olds for so long.
I am requesting a variety of materials to enrich and replenish my classroom!
I am asking for new pencils, a pencil sharpener, a broom, watercolor paints, organizers, and headphones to replace ones that have either been used up or broken over the past few years!
I'm also asking for mentor picture books that I plan on using to spark interest in reading lessons. For example, I want to use "Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch" to teach sequence and theme!
Finally, I am looking to add SEL materials like playdoh or liquid motion bubblers to my collection of tools for our class' calm down, cool down time. This point of the day is a moment for students to calm down while cooling off after recess! It is integral for transitioning from crazy outdoor time to chill learning time!
