My Project

My project is for some new books focused on building friendships, developing social-emotional learning skills, and having a sense of gratitude. My 2nd graders love reading books and learning from different characters in stories. They find connections with these characters and can learn lessons from them.

Garrison Keillor said, "A book is a gift you can open again and again." These books will be read over and over by my students and future students.

We will write about the ideas we learn from them, create art that can reflect on what we learned from these books, and just enjoy having discussions about the characters and what they will teach us. Your donation will help give my students this year and in the years to come a gift that will be treasured.
