My Project

As I begin my seventh year in education, one of the biggest focal points of my classroom remains to be literacy and making sure all of my students read at least ONE book this year that lights something in them. Each year, I have a goal of updating my classroom library with new titles that will entice even the most hesitant of young readers. I spend time curating my wishlist, and I use student feedback and requests on books they would like to see added to my library. During this most recent class survey, my class determined that sports related books and romance novels were lacking in our collection, so that is what I am here to provide (with your amazing help)!

One of my most said phrases in my classroom is the repetition of this famous quote: "The only thing worse than a man who cannot read, is the man who can, but doesn't." Help me encourage my students to be the men (and women who read!
