Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I school where most of the students come from low-income households. I lack so many new and exciting resources, supplies, and materials needed to spark the interest of my students.

Nonetheless, these babies (my nickname for my students) are so eager to learn and come to school each day with smiles and hugs.

My Project

Students will get fun and engaging books that I can add to their growing classroom library. Students will visit our classroom library every single day and I would like for them to be able to have fun and engaging options to practice their reading. The sight word journals will truly boost the students' sight word knowledge with the opportunity to practice reading, writing, and working with words. I have some journals now for about half of my class, so I am requesting to get additional journals for my other fabulous Kindergarten students.
