Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from low income homes and a neighborhood filled with violence. During COVID many students were home alone caring for siblings while their parents worked. My students come to school with so much stress. However, they are excited about learning and love to celebrate their successes. Providing them with a calm, comfortable learning environment is crucial to their success. I aim to make our classroom a safe place where they feel wanted and loved. This will allow my students to become the best version of themselves and build a strong foundation.
