My Students

This year will be an exciting and nervous time for students I am a special education teacher and want to give the students at my school something to look forward to when they return.

My school serves students from kindergarten through eighth grade.

We are a Title I school and all our students are eligible to receive free lunches. The students in this school are hardworking and eager to learn.

Since I am new to the school, I would love to help improve their learning environment and give students something to look forward to.

My Project

We have a beautiful new listening center and need some books on cd to go along with it. Books on cd can help students that are English language learners as well as students with learning disabilities. As a special education teacher, I am always looking for ways to help student foster a love for reading. It can be frustrating to try to read something and not be able to pronounce some of the words. This allows students the opportunity to listen and practice without other students hearing them.

These high interest books on CD will help engage students in reading and improve their listening, speaking and fluency skills.
