My Project

As an ELA department, we have decided to introduce a new initiative called "Books and Brews Friday" to make reading an enjoyable experience for our students. Each week, we will take turns bringing our classes to a specially designed space that fosters a love of reading. The room will feature various reading nooks like a bean bag chair corner, jelly bean tables that can accommodate groups. Both need accurate lighting with extra floor lamps. This space is where students can explore different books, rotating through them to broaden their reading interests. In addition, students will have the opportunity to discuss the books they are reading over hot cocoa and snacks (this is why we need table covers and bean back chair covers). This initiative not only supports our "Read Anything Good Lately" directive but also encourages meaningful conversations and promotes a sense of community around reading.
