My Project

When you take a peek at my classroom, you will see eager faces, ready to learn.

You will see students who enjoy sharing laughter with their peers, putting their problem-solving skills to use with STEAM activities, creating artwork, and playing with their friends.

In social studies, we study American Heroes. We love to learn about people who have made a difference, and the books I have chosen are about people who did just that. The books are about the girl who began Tate's Cookies, the WW1 phone operators. and the first women's national skateboard champion.

I am also requesting metal buckets and skewer sticks that we can use for our Happy Birthday Buckets. These buckets are meant to serve as a reminder to students that they are an important and valued member of our classroom. Students make their classmates a "birthday lollipop". On this "lollipop" students write each other a kind message and illustrate something that is important to each of them. My students take this bucket home and are excited to see what their classmates have to say. The birthday buckets are great self-esteem builders, and a highlight for each student.
