Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is currently working on a Scientist and Inventors Literacy Unit. All of the resources I have are either in English (books) or spanish (virtual text). Help provide my class with a variety of books about Scientist and Inventors in Spanish. My scholars are eager to learn more about scientist that shaped our world. My goal is for each student to research an inventor and learn about their legacy. They will take what they learn and create their own book about the scientist/inventor in Spanish. We currently have zero books for students to read and learn from. We have created a virtual library but its not the same as holding a book in your hand. This project will help my students apply what they know in english and use their multilingual skills to teach others what they have leaned in Spanish.
