Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this project, I am requesting art supplies such as scissors, color pencils, sharpies, and card stock for my students to create bilingual bookmarks for our Spanish class independent reading time. Todays' teenagers do not usually read actual books and I want to support the love of reading by allowing them to personalize bookmarks and become more enthusiastic readers. I find when students can use their newly acquired language skills in art projects, they often delve into language exploration and find pride in their hard work and success in a job well done.
