My Students

Help us make our writing come alive. Nothing is more exciting for a child then to find their own writing published as a book and in their classroom library.

My students are in 4th grade.

They are of mixed ability. My school is made up of students from many different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. My students are eager to learn and grow as readers and writers. We participate in reading and writing workshop in my classroom which allows for my students to publish at least one piece of writing a month.

My Project

This bookbinding machine and materials to bind the books will help my students to feel like real authors. They will be able to publish their writing to look like a real book. We will then be able to place their poetry, fiction and mystery books in our classroom libraries. It will also give my students the opportunity to share their research in book form as well.

Please help us to feel like authors and to share our writing with our classmates, teachers, principals and parents.

Bookbinding will help to preserve my students writing and allow it to be share with others for years to come.
