This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students and I would like to do a book study of Holes and Joshua Dread. During our book study, we will complete a study including the impact each character had on their community and the role we should take in a similar context.

We will utilize our book study as a social emotional learning study to include a discussion about social justice in each story.

The goal is to further discuss our place in the global community through Matilda and Joshua Dread. We will also have the enjoyment of reading a terrific story.
