Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students all have special needs and need high interest material on their level. Some of my students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations. This could be the year that magic happens and they fall in love with books.

My students are diverse learners with special needs.

My learners need high interest material on their level. They need to be able to access reading materials that they can read and are interested in. They need a library with a variety of books giving them access to reading.

My Project

My learners are all reading below grade level. They need a library which is geared to their interests. They need high interest books. They need books on their level which they can read and enjoy. Graphic novels are text accompanied by graphics allow struggling readers to read more with ease.

This addition to our classroom library of high interest books allows my students to read.

They will have books that they want to read and will enjoy them. They will not become frustrated because these books are on their level.
