This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love my students because they (R)espect others (O)pt to be scholarly, (A)ct responsibly and (R)eact with kindness! We are the proud Tigers!
There is a buzz about books and an excitement for reading in our school.
Students at my school are inquisitive, compassionate, and creative. Books are so important to my students and are truly valued. Therefore, I believe that creating a Book Room will be an essential resource for my students. Let's provide the best educational experience to our scholars!
My Project
As the ELA Instructional Lead teacher, this donation will help me better support students during small group pull out instruction. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level.
During small group pull out sessions, I would like to have books that will hold student interests and keep them reading.
Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. With your donation, I can create a Book Room that will allow teachers and students to get their hands on books to enhance student engagement and learning.
