My Project

In my 7th-grade classroom, reading plays a vital role in building both literacy skills and a love for learning. Whether we're diving into historical fiction, analyzing science articles, or exploring thought-provoking novels, books are a central part of our daily activities. However, our classroom library is in need of expansion. Many of the books we currently have are outdated or well-worn, and some genres or reading levels are underrepresented.

My students deserve a diverse and engaging collection of books that can challenge them, captivate their imaginations, and foster a deeper understanding of the world.

A variety of new books—ranging from high-interest novels to informational texts—will help meet the varied needs of my students and provide them with a wide range of reading experiences. With your help, I hope to give them access to books that will not only support their academic growth but also encourage a lifelong love of reading.

By donating to our project, you'll be helping to create a classroom library that provides students with the opportunity to explore new topics, broaden their perspectives, and develop essential reading and critical thinking skills. When students are excited about what they're reading, their enthusiasm for learning increases, leading to improved academic outcomes and greater confidence in their abilities.
