My Students

My students range from Pre-K through grade 5 and are avid book loving Library learners!Some of my students are from low income households. When they come to Library class with me, they look forward to all the wonderful books to read and the projects inside the library! Sometimes they need a quiet space to access and read books that near but not inside the library. My goal is to be able to provide for all of the needs of my students.

Library Learners need a special space to read library books.

My Project

I understand that some students function better when they have a

space of solitude.

A reading bench will address this need. This bench will also provide privacy for students when in need. I see this addressing the need for one to one interaction as well.

The bench will be set right outside the library where students can access all library materials. In this way students who have library class or just want to book browse can do so.

Students who's reading style is geared towards a private space where they can focus on either on an assignment or personal reading task .
