Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read! My library is currently stocked with many fiction books, but the nonfiction side is lacking.

Since over 50% of my class is English Learners, nonfiction books are a lot more challenging for them to read.

I want to provide my class with both of the Scholastic "Let's Find Out" book sets. These are lower level nonfiction books that will allow the nonfiction genre to be more accessible to my students.

I also want to add some of the most popular 2nd grade books to my classroom library with the Scholastic Classroom Library Must Haves. I don't have most of these books in my current library and would love to provide them to my students.
