My Students
My students are part of a public school in the state of Illinois. There are around 700 students in the building. The students in this class love to read and enjoy read aloud and getting to read their own novels during school. This class loves to move around and work with buddies during the day, sharing and hearing other students' ideas. We are building a community of learners.
Fifth grade is an exciting time in children's lives.
This is the year when they get to finish up elementary school and look forward to middle school. It is a year of great change academically, socially, and emotionally.
My Project
Our class loves to read books and we have been holding book clubs for most of the year. However, we could use a few more options for the classroom. I have listed two new book study books, Pollyanna and Space Case. Pollyanna is a wonderful book that will teach students how to be positive even in tough situations. This is a book that is very relevant today. The other book Space Case takes students on an adventure and will add a fantasy book to our novel study collection. If you are able, my students would love the opportunity to read even more books this year. Thank you for considering sponsoring our classroom.
