Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hello everyone, I am a 5th grade teacher at STEAM School. I teach a diverse group students in a low income area of Los Angeles.

Distance learning has been such a roller coaster.

It took the students weeks before they all had reliable technology and WIFI. Now my students are online and happy to be back with our class.

My Project

My school will be 100% virtual this fall. This has required me to think of new ways to engage my students over distance learning. Novel studies will is one way my students can learn from home. This project includes sets of books for book clubs.

This project meets multiple distance learning needs.

First theses novels tie into an early unit of our Benchmark Curriculum. This also is away for my students to do work at home while taking a break from the computer. In addition all students, won't have any problems access books at their level.
