Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in grades 3 through 5 come to my classroom for book club, before school starts, one morning a week. They not only love reading but they devour the books I provide them with very quickly. The students enjoy reading many topics and having discussions about the books they are reading together. Not only do they love to read but they treat the books I share with them with great respect and care. They are extremely thankful to have the opportunity to choose a book for their club and share their thoughts about the book, characters, and their connections to the events in the stories. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a greater variety that will allow them to continue to look forward to our book club.
