My Project

My goal is to foster a love of reading, critical thinking, and emotional growth in our 6th-grade students by establishing a book club centered around The Canyon’s Edge by Dusti Bowling. This compelling novel-in-verse explores themes of survival, resilience, and personal growth, making it an ideal selection for engaging students in meaningful discussions while improving literacy skills. We are requesting funding to purchase 30 copies of the book to ensure all students have access to this impactful reading experience.

With this funding, we can provide students with a powerful literary experience that not only enhances their reading skills but also supports their emotional and social development.

We believe that The Canyon’s Edge will inspire our students to embrace challenges with courage and empathy. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to the opportunity to enrich our students' learning through this book club.

Mrs. Johnson will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by June 22.
