My Students

The little first graders that walk into my classroom are so eager to learn, willing to take risks, and are so excited to begin each day. Each transition into a new subject is met with smiles, wonder, and curiosity that is contagious!

While our school is in a beautiful neighborhood and is part of an amazing community, we don't qualify for very much additional funding for our classrooms.

My goal for my students is to expose them to all types of books and experiences that will engage them and continue building their love for learning and for school, all while having the most fun possible!

My Project

My students have access to hundreds of books in our classroom library. These books are a crucial part of our literacy block each day.

The books my students select to read are a reflection of who my kiddos are as people - their likes, passions, and interests.

I would love for my students to be able to select as many books as their little hearts desire without being limited to space in the paper boxes they're currently using.

The kiddos in my room are able to choose their favorite comfy spots to read during our literacy block. Having sturdy plastic boxes would allow my students the comfort and convenience of transporting 5+ books around our classroom at all times.
