This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students' boundless curiosity and unique passions inspire me daily. "Dog Man" and "Big Nate" will ignite their laughter and visual interpretation skills. "The Babysitters Club" will foster their growing empathy and understanding of responsibility. The diverse "Sports Books" will connect with their interests, teaching teamwork and perseverance. Each series offers engaging pathways to build literacy, character, and a lifelong love of reading, perfectly complementing their individual journeys.

Reading is the bedrock of all learning, unlocking new worlds and expanding understanding.

High-interest texts like these ignite a genuine passion for reading, transforming it from a task into a joy. When students are invested in the content, comprehension deepens, vocabulary expands naturally, and critical thinking skills flourish. Providing engaging options ensures that every student finds a connection, fostering a positive reading identity and setting them on a path for lifelong learning and exploration.
