My Project
Summer reading is important for students because it helps them maintain and improve their reading skills, vocabulary, and comprehension. Preventing the "summer slide" where academic skills can decline without regular practice, and allowing them to continue learning and developing critical thinking skills throughout the summer months is the goal of our summer library program.
This summer, in our library, we will book a trip!
Each week, we will take a trip to a different city and learn what makes it special. We will have STEM activities for students and families to do, relating to the city of the week. Students will also be able to choose a book relevant to the city to take home and keep.
