This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Boogie Boards would be an amazing learning tool for my classroom. I can picture anything from practicing drawing shapes and letters during large group to more focused activities during small group times such as journaling feelings through artistic expression.
The children that we service are typically from low income households and many experience educational obstacles.
They never cease to amaze me by their motivation to participate in learning opportunities that will hopefully prepare them for a lifelong love of learning.
My goal with this project is to strengthen fine motor skills, improve daily writing practice with name writing, letters, shapes and to strengthen artistic expression.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
