My Project

I absolutely love how curious and hands-on my agriculture students are! They’re always eager to dig in, explore new techniques, and see the fruits of their hard work—whether in the classroom, greenhouse, or garden. They bring enthusiasm and energy to every project, and I’m constantly inspired by their willingness to learn and grow.

For this project, I’m requesting bonsai bowl planters, bonsai soil, and bonsai starter kits.

These materials will provide students with a unique, hands-on opportunity to explore plant propagation and the art of bonsai cultivation. They’ll learn essential skills like pruning, shaping, and nurturing plants over time, which ties directly into broader agricultural principles like plant health, patience, and sustainability.

Our goals for this project are to:

Teach students long-term plant care and the dedication needed for successful propagation.

Develop fine motor skills and attention to detail through bonsai shaping and care.

Foster a deeper appreciation for horticulture and inspire creativity in plant design.

What makes my students special is their love of learning through doing. They thrive when given the chance to work with their hands and connect classroom concepts to real-life applications. With this bonsai propagation project, I hope to provide a meaningful, memorable experience that will encourage their growth as future agriculturalists.
