Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In 2nd grade we learn all about biographies, non-fiction texts, and text structure of non-fiction works More importantly, students learn about important people who helped shape the world around them who they can respect and admire. This collection of diverse biographies will add to our classroom libraries for learning, research and engagement.

Students will have greater representation and access to a variety of library books about the men and women who positively impact the world.

Students will be able to use these leveled resources to learn about important role models and upstanders who look like them and ones that they can look up to and be inspired by.

Your support of this project will help bolster an equitable collection of biographical materials for our 2nd grade students!
