Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are grateful to have a band program for our 5th grade students. They apply in the Fall and are chosen based on their levels of responsibility, respectfulness, and other qualities shown in music class and their presence in the whole school building.
We have a set of instruments that makes it possible for 15 students to join the band, however this project for trombones and trumpets would make band an option for at least 5 more students than that this school year.
We perform for our community through our Winter and Spring Concerts, and invite our families to the Breakfast with the Band. Data supports that students thrive when given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.
