This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At PS 42X, we have had a 5th grade band for about 8 years now - I am proud of every student that has put forth their best efforts to learn an instrument and represent our school through their musical talents.
Learning to play an instrument and being a part of the band is a unique experience.
These three instruments (two trumpets and a trombone) will make it possible for 3 more students to join the band without the worry of paying for an instrument. Instruments are used year to year, so that is 3 more kids in the band each year!
